Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo comforts an emotional supporter while walking through Bilbao airport.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was quick to comfort an emotional supporter while recently walking through Bilbao airport.

The Portuguese star, who has been one of Madrid's key players since his arrival from Manchester United in 2009, was walking through the airport with Luka Modric.

The 30-year-old spotted an overwhelmed fan in tears and went over to sign his autograph on some memorabilia before giving the youngster a hug.

Ronaldo is in contention for a third consecutive Ballon d'Or award after being named in the three-man shortlist alongside Barcelona pair Lionel Messi and Neymar.
