Nottingham Forest's Darius Henderson 'broke diner's cheekbone in row'

Nottingham Forest striker Darius Henderson is accused in court of breaking a man's cheekbone during an incident at a restaurant.

Nottingham Forest striker Darius Henderson has reportedly been accused of breaking a man's cheekbone and damaging his eye socket during a row with his girlfriend.

St Albans Crown Court heard that Henderson's alleged mistress Hazel Kent told his girlfriend Lucy Caplan during a New Year's Eve meal that she had met the footballer for sex.

It has been claimed in court that John Bell, who was in the same restaurant with his partner and friends, tried to intervene when Henderson punched him twice in the head.

Henderson, who was a Millwall player at the time, denies grievous bodily harm and has claimed that he acted in self-defence, according to the Daily Star.

Henderson is believed to have claimed that Bell wound him up during the situation.
