Norwich City's Robert Snodgrass aims to raise funds for helicopter crash victims

Snodgrass to help helicopter crash victims

Norwich City winger Robert Snodgrass has put together an online donation page to help raise money for those affected by the helicopter crash in Glasgow.

The Glaswegian has admitted that he wants to do his part following the incident on November 28, when 10 people died after a police helicopter crashed through the roof of the Clutha bar in the city.

"I am a proud Scotland internationalist and a proud Glaswegian," Evening News 24 quotes Snodgrass as saying. "I have been touched by the community spirit shown by all Glaswegians since the tragedy and want to use my profile to help the excellent fundraising effort in any way I can.

"The money will be added to the many fundraising activities taking place to provide vital support to those who have been affected by the Clutha tragedy."

Snodgrass, who set up the page through Just Giving, is hoping to raise £5,000.
