Nico Rosberg "shocked" by car accident involving German footballers

Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg expresses his shock after he was involved in a car collision with German footballers Julian Draxler and Benedikt Howedes.

Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg has expressed his shock after he was involved in a car accident with German footballers Julian Draxler and Benedikt Howedes.

The trio were filming a promotional advert with Mercedes-Benz when a car collided with two individuals on a closed circuit in Germany.

Rosberg, Draxler and Howedes left the incident unhurt but two people were taken to hospital, with some reports claiming that one of the individuals is suffering with serious injuries.

After the accident, Rosberg wrote on Twitter: "I am shocked by the accident. My thoughts are with the two people who were injured and I wish them a fast recovery."

DTM driver Pascal Wehrlein is also said to have been involved in the accident, but was unharmed.
