Paul Gascoigne 'taken to emergency room on US arrival'

Gascoigne 'taken to emergency room'

England legend Paul Gascoigne was reportedly taken to the emergency room following his arrival at a rehab centre in the US.

The 45-year-old, who has been sent to a treatment clinic in Phoenix, Arizona to help battle alcoholism, was spotted at the airport drinking a pint of beer before being led away by a friend.

It is understood that upon arrival at the rehab facility, the ex-Newcastle United star experienced tremors and shakes, which prompted medics to take him to the emergency room, according to Sky Sports News.

Despite the initial fears, it is thought that Gascoigne has returned to the facility and is in the right condition to continue treatment.
