New York Giants' Larry Donnell "blessed" to avoid injury on Delta plane

New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell avoids injury on the Delta plane that skidded off the runway at LaGuardia Airport.

New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell has said that he feels "blessed" after escaping uninjured when a Delta flight skidded off the runway at LaGuardia Airport in New York.

The plane was coming in from Atlanta yesterday morning when it slid off the runway, losing a wing before the nose crashed into a fence.

The 26-year-old said in a statement: "I'm blessed to be safe and sound after our plane skidded off the runway at LaGuardia airport today. I feel fine physically and hopefully all the other passengers did not have any significant injuries.

"We were all shocked and alarmed when the plane started to skid, but most importantly, as far as I know, all of the passengers and flight crew were able to exit the plane safely."

Donnell also posted a video of the incident on his Instagram page:

Look at this shit! Knew I shoulda stayed my ass at home
