Millwall fans filmed singing P-word chant

Millwall fans filmed singing P-word chant

Footage of a section of Millwall supporters singing a racist chant during last night's FA Cup game with Everton has gone viral on social media.

The group are heard singing that they would "rather be a P**i than a Scouser" in the clip, which was filmed during the game itself.

British-Pakistani comedian Guz Khan reacted with outrage on social media, writing on Twitter: "I dare any of you to come and chant this to our faces you'll get wrecked like we do racists everyday of the week

"When they say P***s they mean all of us, in that National Front of the 70's kinda way. @MillwallFC sort it out before we do."

The chant just came hours after a violent brawl before the match, which saw a man in his 20s stabbed in the face.

Detective Inspector Darren Young, of the South Central Command Unit, told The Sun: "The behaviour of those involved in this incident is nothing short of disgraceful and those involved can be certain we will be working to identify them.

"We are aware of the video circulating online, which has quite rightly elicited shock and disgust. We are looking at it and urge anyone with information that could assist police to call 101 referring CAD 5117/26 Jan."

Millwall won the game 3-2 courtesy of a stoppage-time goal from Murray Wallace.
