Brit's caddie 'banned for wearing sandals'

The caddie of British amateur golfer Matt Fitzpatrick has reportedly been banned by Augusta officials for wearing sandals.

Ahead of the Masters tournament on Thursday, Lorne Duncan was reportedly told that he cannot wear the footwear on the Georgia course as it is against club rules.

According to The Telegraph, Duncan expressed his fury at the tournament director and insisted that he needs to wear sandals due to a foot problem.

Sheffield-born Fitzpatrick will partner defending champion Adam Scott in the first round on Thursday.
