Waiter suspended for taking Van Persie photo

A waiter has been suspended for two weeks after his manager found out that he had had his photo taken with Robin van Persie while at work.

The Manchester United striker was dining with his family at the Cliff restaurant in Barbados when Kyson Forde approached him for a picture.

According to The Mirror, the waiter was later suspended for breaching the restaurant's rule banning staff from using their mobile phones in the dining area.

However, manager Peter Harris denied that the Dutch international had complained about the incident.
