Wayne Rooney given morning birthday cake by son Kai

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was given a birthday surprise by his son Kai, who presented him with a cake to celebrate his 27th.

The England international posted a photo on his official Facebook page with him and Kai sitting down on a carpet in front of a cake lit with candles and a huge mound of wrapped presents behind them.

Rooney later tweeted: "Thank you to everyone for my birthday messages."

Meanwhile, the former Everton star has also expressed his support for Barack Obama in the presidential election.
