Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has explained why he called Ryan Giggs a "wrongun" on Friday.
The 31-year-old claims that although he respects the Manchester United winger as a footballer, he has no respect for him as a man for having an eight-year affair with his brother's then wife Natasha Giggs
"If you all want to put Giggs on a pedestal, then thats your right," Barton wrote on Twitter. "I am merely pointing out that what he did was as low as it gets.
"Hundreds of times worse than John Terry. JT has a blast of his mates bird when they had split up. Not saying thats right at all but if any of you think having an 8yr affair with your brothers wife.
"Getting her pregnant and aborting that child (allegedly) is worse than JT's behaviour, you want your heads testing. A hero Giggs? Bang your brothers bird. I don't care how good you are, you sir are a c**t!"
Giggs celebrated his 40th birthday on Friday.
