'The Hoff' asks Toure to be on his show

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has asked Manchester City star Yaya Toure to make an appearance on his TV series Hoff The Record.

The 63-year-old American actor, who is known as 'The Hoff', tried to strike up a friendship with the Ivorian by wearing his replica shirt on the day of City's 2-0 win over Everton at the weekend.

Hasselhoff sent a photo of himself wearing City's colours to Toure via Twitter, and the midfielder replied: "Nice shirt Mr Knight Rider!!!"

The actor then tried to convince the footballer to be part of the second series of his documentary-style sitcom by tweeting: "Hey @Yaya toure We are shooting Hoff the record next week my second season . come be in the show? what a blast and take only an hour ?? The YayaRider! Lol."
