Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp sign Sky Germany deal

Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp announce a new long-term partnership with Sky Germany.

Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp have agreed a new long-term partnership with Sky Germany.

As part of the deal, the broadcaster has picked up the rights to air all of Liverpool's Premier League games live, as well as delayed broadcasts of the Reds' FA Cup and League Cup endeavours.

Sky Germany will also air content from LFCTV, including Klopp's weekly press conference, player interviews and documentaries, as well as a weekly magazine programme in the German language.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Klopp, meanwhile, will make promotional appearances for Sky Germany and "feature in special insights into his daily work".

"Already in 2014 I had a great experience with the Sky team while shooting a commercial," said Klopp of the deal. "Sky for me stands for all major sports, and that's why I am very pleased with the continued co-operation."

Roman Steuer, executive vice-president for sports at Sky Germany, added: "The high-class duels between Dortmund and Liverpool in last season's UEFA Europa League have clearly shown how interested the football fans in Germany for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool.

"Co-operation enables us to be very close to Jurgen Klopp."

Sky Germany will begin its coverage with Liverpool's season-opening trip to Arsenal on Sunday.
