Gerrard loans memorabilia collection to museum

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has loaned his entire collection of football memorabilia to the club's museum at Anfield.

The midfielder called an end to his 17-year Liverpool career last month ahead of a move to MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in July.

Prior to settling in the United States for 18 months, Gerrard has decided to hand over his collection of medals, shirts and England caps to the museum on a temporary basis, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The exhibition is due to go on display later this week.
