Gerrard: 'Celeb spotting in LA is strange'

Steven Gerrard has admitted that bumping into celebrities in Los Angeles feels "strange but amazing".

The former Liverpool captain moved to the Californian city with his wife Alex and three daughters Lilly-Ella, 11, Lexie, nine and three-year-old Lourdes earlier this month.

The midfielder made his debut for Los Angeles Galaxy last Sunday in the MLS club's 2-1 victory over Club America, but he is still getting used to life off the pitch.

"Alex and I went into a restaurant the other day and we saw Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, it was so strange but amazing," Gerrard told The Mirror. "[It's] so different. They were just sat there eating."

"Then, the other day I saw Floyd Mayweather Jr just walking down the street, it was mad, really strange to see. I didn't realise how small he is. We've seen some celebrities around and about since being here."

Gerrard spent 17 years playing for Liverpool before moving to the United States.
