Report: Livermore struggled with loss of child

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore was reportedly struggling with the loss of his child when he tested positive for cocaine earlier this year.

The 25-year-old tested positive for the Class A drug after the Tigers' 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in April and was suspended pending a Football Association hearing.

According to the Daily Mail, Livermore failed the test just days after the results of an inquest into the death of his baby, who was lost in May last year.

Livermore is still suspended by Hull, who are not commenting on the midfielder until the FA investigation is complete.

A failed in-competition test for a 'social' drug such as cocaine carries a maximum two-year ban.
