Huddersfield Giants' Eorl Crabtree bumps into Rihanna in hotel lift

Huddersfield Giants prop Eorl Crabtree has revealed that he bumped into popstar Rihanna while in a hotel in Manchester.

The 30-year-old recalled the encounter, which took place while he entered the lift at the Lowry Hotel in the North West city.

"It was proper random," The Sun quotes Crabtree as saying. "There was this big guy and behind him in the corner was this little, frail girl.

"I knew who it was. The bodyguard was a unit but I think I'd have taken him. I almost asked if they needed another bodyguard for my retirement fund!"

Rihanna was in Manchester for two concerts.
