Rafael van der Vaart goes up against Phil Taylor in darts tournament

Hamburger SV midfielder Rafael van der Vaart took on Phil 'The Power' Taylor in a show tournament ahead of the Betfair World Cup of Darts yesterday.

The former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker teamed up with fellow countryman Raymond van Barneveld in a competition against Taylor and Van der Vaart's teammate Maximilian Beister.

"I like darts. In Holland, this sport is very popular," the Daily Mail quotes Van der Vaart as saying.

The Dutch duo managed to take home the trophy at the Imtech Arena.
