French tennis physio dies suddenly in Rio

A physio working for the France tennis team in Rio de Janeiro has died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Friday.

Patrick Bordier - a popular figure within the French Olympics team - collapsed on Friday afternoon but could not be resuscitated by paramedics.

France's Olympic Committee president Denis Masseglia confirmed to reporters: "Patrick Bordier died suddenly this afternoon.

"Patrick was a friend and someone at the service of the athletes."

News of Bordier's death comes after Germany's canoe slalom coach Stefan Heinze was left "fighting for his life" following a car crash near the Olympic Village.
