Michael Schumacher 'responding to treatment'

Former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezelmo dismisses reports that Michael Schumacher's condition has worsened.

Ex-Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezelmo has dismissed reports that Michael Schumacher's medical condition is deteriorating.

Schumacher, 47, suffered a serious brain injury while skiing in the Alps in December 2013 and has spent the last two years recovering at his home in Switzerland.

Information on Schumacher's condition has been scarce, but Di Montezelmo insisted that recent reports about his health worsening were incorrect.

"I'm very pleased to know that he is reacting," he told Ecumenical News.

"I know how strong he is. I'm sure that thanks to his determination, which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation."

Schumacher is a seven-time F1 world champion and holds the record for most races won.
