England WAGs 'banned from Miami trip before World Cup'

The FA reportedly ban the England players' wives and girlfriends from joining the team in Miami ahead of the World Cup in Brazil this summer.

The Football Association have reportedly decided against allowing the England players' wives and girlfriends to visit the team in Miami ahead of this summer's World Cup.

The Three Lions are due to play warm-up matches against Ecuador and Honduras on June 4 and June 7 respectively in the United States.

Originally the players' other halves were permitted to fly out to Miami during this time, but the trip has now been cancelled, with the team having an extra day at home before jetting to the States, according to The Times.

Manager Roy Hodgson is not stopping his players' families from joining the team in Brazil, but captain Steven Gerrard has decided to leave his wife Alex and daughters Lilly-Ella, Lexie and Lourdes at home in Liverpool.
