England fans 'injured in attack before World Cup qualifier in Ukraine'

A group of England fans are reportedly attacked in Kiev ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine tomorrow.

A group of England fans have reportedly been attacked in Kiev ahead of tomorrow night's World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.

Local reports have claimed that 30 hooded Ukrainians attacked the group of Three Lions supporters with knives at a coffee shop.

According to BBC Sport, a Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are aware of incidents in Kiev involving British nationals. We are providing consular assistance."

It has been claimed that three Brits were taken to hospital, with one being treated for a stab wound.
