The Pukka Pies England band have had their instruments confiscated on the way into the stadium for the team's match against Poland.

The England band have been forbidden from attending the Three Lions' World Cup qualifier against Poland.

The match will be only the second time the Pukka Pies band has been absent from an England game in 20 years.

The musicians' instruments were confiscated on the way into the National Stadium, reportedly because the Polish FA had previously refused to sanction a Polish equivalent.

"It is very frustrating," said band leader John Hemmingham.

"We have travelled tens of thousands of miles following England are were looking forward to banging the drum for the Three Lions once more.

"It is massively disappointing to get such a bum note."

The match was scheduled to take place tonight, but could be postponed until tomorrow due to a waterlogged pitch.
