Original Ashes urn 'to be kept away from England celebrations'

Ashes urn 'to be kept away from celebrations'

The Ashes urn will reportedly remain in the Lord's Museum when England celebrate winning the series at The Oval on Sunday.

While the original urn was taken to Australia in 2006, the MCC have claimed that it is too fragile to be taken to Kennington this weekend.

"The Ashes urn has only ever been a symbol, not a trophy," the Daily Mail quotes an MCC spokeswoman as saying.

One of three official replica urns will be at the ceremony.
