Chelsea's Andre Schurrle criticises high prices of London properties

Chelsea's Andre Schurrle criticises the rising prices of properties in London.

Chelsea's Andre Schurrle has slammed the cost of renting properties in London, despite earning a reported £70,000 per week.

The 23-year-old, who signed for the Blues from Bayer Leverkusen last year, has revealed that he is yet to take up permanent residence in West London.

"I am still looking for a suitable property," Schurrle told German publication Bild. "In London, prices are constantly rising, but it really makes little sense to constantly pay the high rents."

The German international also revealed that he enjoys travelling back to his childhood home to spend time with his mother.
