Jonathan Davies: 'Twitter trolls threatened to break my legs'

Jonathan Davies reveals that he received messages from Twitter trolls threatening to break his legs for being picked ahead of Brian O'Driscoll in the final Lions Test.

Wales centre Jonathan Davies has revealed that he received threatening messages on Twitter when he was chosen ahead of Brian O'Driscoll during the British and Irish Lions tour.

The 25-year-old came into the fold for the third Test against Australia during the tour earlier this summer at the expense of former Lions captain O'Driscoll.

"There was a lot of stuff on Twitter but I tried not to take too much notice of it," the Daily Mail quotes Davies as saying. "I did get a bit of verbal abuse and people wanting to break my legs and stuff, but I didn't really care."

The Lions ended up winning the series with a 41-16 victory.
