Dalai Lama sends Bradford blessing

The Dalai Lama has sent his best wishes to Bradford City ahead of the League Two club's League Cup final against Swansea City.

The Tibetan spiritual leader was made an honorary president of the team last year while he was at a conference in Leeds.

The 76-year-old's representatives have now sent fundraising group Friends of Bradford City a letter of support as the side prepares to take on Swansea at Wembley Stadium later this month.

The message reads: "He remembers his time in Yorkshire with great affection and wishes you every success in the big match."

The League Cup final between Bradford and Swansea takes place on February 24.
