Over half a million Borussia Dortmund fans have reportedly applied for Champions League final tickets at Wembley.

The Bundesliga outfit will go up against their German rivals Bayern Munich in the showdown in London on May 25, but Dortmund will struggle to please all of their fans after receiving just 24,042 tickets.

It is believed that the original figure of 250,000 requests within the first 24 hours of Dortmund reaching the final has since doubled, according to the Daily Mail.

Both clubs have been given a total of 50,000 tickets between them, despite Wembley being able to hold 86,000.
