Aston Villa create replica shirt for new royal baby

Aston Villa have created a replica kit for the new royal baby born to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William and Kate welcomed their son, who is now third in line to the throne, yesterday afternoon.

Following the news, the Premier League club, whon William supports, sent their congratulations to the royal couple by creating a tiny kit for their son.

A statement on the club's official website said: "The Duke is a huge Villa fan and it is hoped that his new son will be brought up in the claret and blue tradition.

"As a birthday present, Villa chiefs have sent the 8lbs 6oz tot a new kit with the appropriate letters 'HRH' and the number '1' on the back."

The baby is yet to be given a name.
