Aston Villa's Shay Given leads St Patrick's Day celebrations

Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given has led the way in terms of St Patrick's Day celebrations by dressing up as a leprechaun.

The 38-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who has been a Villa player since 2011, posted a photo of his festive look on Twitter.

Alongside the image of himself wearing a leprechaun hat and ginger beard, Given tweeted: "Happy St. Patricks Day every1, hope u all have a great day."

Given continues to struggle for regular first-team action at Villa Park, but he has been in goal throughout the team's FA Cup campaign, which has led them to the semi-finals at Wembley.
