Theo Walcott "excited" for future with new wife Melanie Slade

Arsenal star Theo Walcott has admitted that he is "excited" for the future with wife Melanie Slade.

The England international tied the knot with his girlfriend of nine years last week in a ceremony at Castello di Vincigliata in Tuscany, Italy last week.

"It's fantastic to be able to finally call Melanie my wife," Walcott told Hello! magazine.

"Now we're excited to see what the future holds for us. I don't think marriage will change our relationship, I hope not anyway, as it was already everything I could have wanted."

The couple first started dating in 2004.
