Arsenal's Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker dress up as Samurai warriors

Arsenal pair Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker have tried to soak up Japanese culture by dressing up as Samurai warriors.

The duo were given the makeover at the Urawa Royal Pines Hotel following their arrival in the country, which is the latest leg of their pre-season tour.

While Podolski and Mertesacker played dress-up, teammates Mikel Arteta and Bacary Sagna were taught how to prepare sushi, according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the club are believed to have recently lodged a £40,000,001m bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
