England keep netball medal hopes alive

England have recorded a comfortable 70-24 victory over Trinidad and Tobago to keep alive their Commonwealth Games medal hopes.

Anna Mayes's side raced into a 15-5 lead following a dominant opening quarter to the game, and that advantage stretched to 15 points at half time after the 2010 bronze medallists capitalised on a string of errors to make it 27-12.

Trinidad and Tobago struggled to get back into the game, and England compounded the Caribbean side's misery after the interval to register a comprehensive victory at the Emirates Arena.

England, who have now won three of their four pool games, face Barbados tomorrow.
