England clinch gold in women's lawn bowls triples final

The England trio of Sophie Tolchard, Ellen Falkner and Sian Honnor clinch gold in the women's lawn bowls triples final.

The England trio of Sophie Tolchard, Ellen Falkner and Sian Honnor have beaten Australia in the final of the women's triples lawn bowls.

England seemed to be coasting to victory as they led 11-0 after three of 18 ends.

After 10 ends, the lead had extended to 20-1 and although the Australian team of Lynsey Clarke, Karen Murphy and Kelsey Cottrell clawed back three more points, England won 22-4.

The match came came to a premature end after Australia conceded to the 'mercy' rule.

Meanwhile, Wales lost 23-14 to South Africa in the bronze-medal match.
