Croatia take gold in women's kumite +68kg at European Games

Croatia's Masa Martinovic beats Meltem Hocaoglu in the women's kumite +68kg final to earn her country's first gold of the 2015 European Games.

Masa Martinovic has defeated Meltem Hocaoglu to win the women's kumite +68kg event and earn a first gold medal of Baku 2015 for Croatia.

The 26-year-old, who successfully navigated past Zaytseva Ivanna in the semi-finals, made equally light work of Turkey's Hocaoglu in the final to claim a comfortable 5-0 triumph.

Russian Federation's Zaytseva dusted herself down to beat Hana Antunovic of Sweden in the bronze-medal final, meanwhile, taking her nation up to third in the overall medal table in the process.

Home favourite Irina Zaretska won gold in the women's kumite -68kg category earlier today.
