Megan Fletcher hails "absolutely amazing" final berth

Team England's Megan Fletcher reflects on her "absolutely amazing" Commonwealth Games win over Sally Conway to reach the judo -70kg final.

England's Megan Fletcher has said that it feels "absolutely amazing" to reach the final of the -70kg judo event after beating local favorite Sally Conway in Glasgow's Commonwealth Games.

Fletcher shrugged off a facial injury to beat Conway on home soil and will now duke it out with Moira de Villiers for the gold.

"That was absolutely amazing – I couldn't think of anywhere better to beat her," she told reporters. "In the final minutes I was just thinking about keeping my concentration and keeping the pressure on her."

She later played down fears that her injury could hinder her in the final.
