First men's final for Team GB since 1924

Team GB's male gymnasts have swept into the final of the team event with an impressive display that saw them finish ahead of world champions China.

The team of Kristian Thomas, Louis Smith, Max Whitlock, Dan Purvis and Sam Oldham all excelled in their disciplines to head their heat.

The individual performances of Thomas and Purvis also saw them secure first and second place respectively to move into the individual final.

It is the first time that the male gymnastic's team have made the final since 1924.
