Russia's Kanaeva wins rhythmic gymnastics gold

Evgeniya Kanaeva of Russia has won gold in the women's individual rhythmic gymnastics.

The 22-year-old successfully defended her Beijing gold with a total score of 116.900.

Kanaeva topped the rankings on all four apparatus with a highest score of 29.450 in the clubs.

Daria Dmitrieva, also of Russia, claimed silver with a total score of 114.500 and Liubou Charkashyna of Belarus took bronze with 111.700.
