Claudia Fragapane happy with qualifying display

British gymnast Claudia Fragapane insists that she was happy with her performance despite qualifying for the all-round final at the European Championships in fifth place.

Claudia Fragapane has revealed that she expects a "cleaner" performance in the all-round final at the European Gymnastics Championships in Montpellier.

The four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist could only finish in fifth place during qualifying, but the Bristol-born gymnast has insisted that she was happy with her opening effort.

The 17-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I'm quite happy overall and just hoping when it comes to the finals I'll do even better.

"I've definitely got more to give. All my stuff can be much cleaner. I'm going to get back into training to try to fix those mistakes."

Ellie Downie, Becky Downie and Amy Tinkler will also represent Great Britain in the all-round final.
