Max Verstappen taking positives from Monaco Grand Prix practice

Max Verstappen is pleased with his performance during today's practice sessions ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix.

Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen has admitted that he "felt at home" during his first experience of the Monaco Grand Prix.

The 17-year-old finished 0.149s off Lewis Hamilton in first practice ahead of this weekend's race, while he slipped down to seventh during the second practice session later in the day.

Verstappen was pipped by teammate Carlos Sainz on the famous course, but he believes that he has plenty more to offer heading into qualifying.

"It's been a good practice for me," the youngster told BBC Sport. "I felt at home on the track. I like street circuits, so maybe that has something to do with it."

Hamilton clocked the fastest time in both practice sessions.
