Mark Webber reveals outside interest

Mark Webber has claimed that a number of teams attempted to sign him while he was in the process of negotiating a new deal with Red Bull Racing.

However, the 35-year-old rebuffed any offers and committed his future to the Milton Keynes-based team for a further year.

"What was amazing this year was the amount of response I had from other teams when I was about to sign with Red Bull," Webber said.

"They were very, very interested in having a chat to me, which was another little reminder to me that things were going pretty well."

The Australian is currently fourth in the world standings with three races remaining.
