Sergio Perez wants Force India stay for 2015

Sergio Perez hopes that his recent form will help him secure a drive with Force India in the 2015 season.

Sergio Perez has said he is keen to remain with Force India in 2015, despite having not yet been confirmed as one of their drivers for next season.

Nico Hulkenburg's extended stay with the team was announced recently, but Perez was left waiting and the Mexican's future with the constructor is in the balance.

However, the former McLaren racer is confident that his recent form will count for something when the decision is taken.

He told Formula 1's official website: "It always takes a while till you are fully integrated in a new team - know all the people and their positions and skills - but that period is over now and I feel very comfortable in being a part of Force India.

"Of course the Bahrain podium was a huge door opener, but if you look at my last five races I was in the points in each of them - so yes, I have arrived, and yes, I would like to stay with Force India in 2015."

Force India are one of a number of teams yet to have confirmed their driver lineups for next season.
