James Calado: 'Talent not enough to enter Formula 1'

James Calado admits that money is as important as talent in Formula 1 nowadays.

British driver James Calado has admitted that it takes money as well as talent to secure a seat in Formula 1 these days.

Calado, who will debut on Friday as Force India's test and reserve driver, said that it would not have been possible to get into the sport without financial backing.

"As a young driver I would say it is impossible to get into Formula 1 without any money at all," he told BBC Sport. "Talent alone is not enough now."

There are currently four other British drivers on the circuit: Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Paul di Resta and Max Chilton.
