Nico Hulkenberg happy with Canadian Grand Prix qualifying

Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg hopes to score points at the Canadian Grand Prix after his best qualifying performance of the season.

Nico Hulkenberg believes that Force India have a "great opportunity" to score points at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The German will start from seventh on the grid at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after producing his best qualifying performance of the season in Montreal.

Hulkenberg, who races at Le Mans next weekend, says he is confident that he can finish well in Sunday's race.

He told reporters: "It was definitely a good day in the office, both for me and for the team with two cars inside the top 10.

"Seventh is my best qualifying result so far this year, which is really encouraging as we look ahead to the race. The car has been performing well since the start of practice and I think we have a great opportunity to score some good points.

"I think we're in pretty good shape; I'm feeling confident and looking forward to a competitive race."

Hulkenberg's teammate Sergio Perez will start from 10th on the grid.
