Yeovil Town caretaker manager Terry Skiverton reveals that he left Huish Park as he could not watch Adam Morgan's late penalty equaliser against Gillingham.

Yeovil Town caretaker manager Terry Skiverton has revealed that he left the stadium as he could not watch his side's stoppage-time penalty against Gillingham.

The Somerset outfit were trailing late on when Joel Grant was tripped in the area and awarded a spot kick.

However, when Adam Morgan stepped up to score the from 12 yards and seal Yeovil a point, Skiverton was nowhere to be seen.

He told BBC Somerset: "He was a brave lad for stepping up in that moment and taking the penalty. I don't know if you saw, but I actually walked out of the ground. I went down the tunnel, as I couldn't watch it.

"Then when Adam Morgan picked up the ball up, I walked even further and thought I'm not turning back! Things happen in football. He had a few chances to go out and play on loan and he didn't really take those opportunities.

"So he was probably very close (to leaving). When I took over I said that I'd give everyone a chance, and that means everyone. I can't all of a sudden say everyone has got a clean sheet and then limit someone else."

Yeovil are three points adrift at the bottom of League One after Leyton Orient beat Oldham Athletic 3-0.
