Steve Clarke predicts busy summer

Steve Clarke says that West Bromwich Albion may have a busy summer in the transfer market with players coming in and going out.

West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has hinted at possible changes to his squad during the summer transfer window.

The Scot believes that there will be interest in a number of his stars as the Baggies enjoy a decent campaign in the Premier League.

He said that it is important he has players lined up as possible replacements, but refused to name any potential targets.

"We will look nearer the summer but there is a possibility there will be three or four changes, four or five changes or maybe even five or six changes," The Telegraph quotes Clarke as saying.

"You can never tell what's coming in the transfer system.

"Obviously, we've had a very good season and maybe some other, bigger clubs will show an interest in the players we've got, but our job is to make sure we have a number of targets ready to come in as and when we need to chase those players."

The Baggies currently sit in ninth place.
