Preston's Chris Brown 'attracting interest'

"A host" of clubs are interested in signing Preston North End's Chris Brown, according to Sky Sports.

The striker is available on a free transfer after coming out of contract and has gathered a "wealth of interest", despite scoring just once for the club last season.

The 26-year-old joined Preston - freshly relegated to League One - for £400,000 in January 2008. In his club career to date, he has found the net 18 times.
