Scottish League One roundup: Stranraer stay top

Sports Mole rounds up the day's Scottish League One action as Stranraer stay top with 2-0 win over Peterhead.

Stranraer stayed top of the Scottish League One with a 2-0 win at home to Peterhead.

Jamie Longworth's 12th goal of the season gave the home side the lead shortly before the half-hour mark before Jon McShane struck less than a minute into the second period.

Andy Barrowman struck a winner deep into stoppage time as Dunfermline Athletic beat Stenhousemuir 3-2.

The home side fought back from two goals down to take the points after Paul McMullan and Colin McMenamin had given the visitors a commanding lead.

Ayr United cruised past Stirling Albion 4-1 thanks to goals from David Robertson, Gordon Smith, Craig Beattie and Jordan Preston.

Philip Johnson netted to make it 2-1, but it was a mere consolation as the visitors wrapped up a convincing win.

Ross Caldwell scored a second-half penalty for Greenock Morton as they held Brechin City to a 1-1 draw.
