Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leeds

Tottenham injury, suspension list vs. Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur will aim to get their Premier League top-four charge back on track when they take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday lunchtime.

The Lilywhites' Champions League aspirations were dealt a huge blow in a 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Wednesday night, with Ben Mee heading home the only goal at Turf Moor.

A fourth defeat from five league games sees Spurs lie eighth in the table - seven points off the top four with two games in hand - and Antonio Conte admitted that the club would have to make "an assessment" on his future after Wednesday's loss.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Whites.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Rodrigo Bentancur was withdrawn at half time against Burnley after suffering an awkward slip on the wet turf, and Conte subsequently confirmed that the midfielder had suffered an ankle injury and will not be available for Saturday.

Pierluigi Gollini

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Illness Possible return date: February 26 (vs. Leeds United)

Second-choice goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini was absent from the squad in midweek due to illness, but it is not thought to be COVID-19 and he may have a chance of returning here.

Japhet Tanganga

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Japhet Tanganga continues to recover from his knee problem, but having not been involved against Burnley, the defender will not be ready to feature against the Whites.

Oliver Skipp

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Similarly, Oliver Skipp's troublesome groin problem did not let up in time for the midfielder to be involved at Turf Moor, and he does not have a chance of returning against Leeds.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match.
