Stimac accuses Levy of 'broken promises'

Croatia manager Igor Stimac has accused Tottenham Hotspur owner Daniel Levy of 'breaking promises' to Luka Modric.

Modric finally moved to Real Madrid in the summer after a drawn-out transfer saga and the midfielder's national boss has hit out at Levy.

"Last season he promised he would let him go if an offer came," said Stimac.

"When the offer came, he broke his promise. He doesn't work in a good way if he breaks his promises to people."

Modric signed for Madrid for £32.3m in August.
